First known city-run public MCP server in the world
Open infrastructure for resident-facing AI agents, live and already being queried by other cities
Boston has a habit of being first: the first public library in the country, the first subway, the first phone call. It's a fitting place to build the first open, city-run infrastructure for resident-facing AI agents.
Boston Open Context is live and already being queried by other cities. Identity infrastructure through Boston Home and my.mass.gov is in active development toward federation, four working groups are underway, and a grassroots pilot has already shipped in Dorchester.
